Children are amazing to have, but no one wants to have that saggy “mom body.” If you’ve recently given birth and are ready to lose weight after pregnancy, you’ve come to the right place.
To begin your fat loss journey, you first need to review the foods you’re consuming each day. Some mothers find it difficult to stop their junk food cravings after having “eaten for two.” I know so many mothers who packed on unneeded weight during pregnancy by giving in to their every craving. Be aware of when you eat for comfort or as a reward. Eating to comfort or reward yourself is the fastest way to gain weight and keep it on. To lose weight after pregnancy, we need to limit your junk food intake – but not all the way! I love Lindor truffles too much to tell anyone that they had to give up junk food for good. We don’t have to stop eating the foods we love, we just need more control over when we eat them.
Try Using Cheat Days
I like using cheat days to control my cravings. One day every week, for me it’s Friday, I allow myself to eat anything and everything I want that day. I’ll go get a pizza, a Big Mac, a bag of Lindor Dark Chocolate truffles, a bag of potato chips and anything else I want to eat that day. I stuff my face all day long without worrying about calories. It’s the best day.
This is great because the extra calories actually help raise your metabolism throughout the week, so you end up burning more fat every other day and by the time you’re done eating all that junk you won’t wan to see any of it again for at least a week!
Exercising to Lose Weight After Pregnancy
Hopefully you’ve been doing some exercising during your pregnancy to help keep your muscle in decent shape. If not, don’t worry, just start from wherever you are right now. It important that you choose an exercise plan that’s fun, effective and doesn’t take up a lot of time. I have really loved the ladies version of Turbulence Training. Just remember that even if you have to start slow, just get started right now. Your small, daily changes are going to amount to big changes down the road.
